The Teel Middle School garden was started in 2006 with the help of Language Arts teacher Katie Archangel.  The school partnered with local landscapers who donated plants to beautify the property.

The garden program is called PERFECT, which means Program of Education and Recreation for Every Child at Teel.  There is a "Garden Party" weekly, in which students participate.

The garden recently won an Excellence in Education award from the Modesto Chamber of Commerce.
